A classic Pentax MX 35mm film camera with a Ricoh XR Rikenon 50mm f1.7 lens.

The Pentax MX is famous for being possibly the most compact mechanical, metal 35mm SLR ever made. This one weighs just 494 grams without a lens.

The camera is in nice cosmetic condition with a little normal wear. The biggest mark seems to be a scratch on the back of the film door that doesn't affect function at all. See photos in listing. 

Light meter works and seems right on. All other operations seem fine to me.

The lens is in very good cosmetic shape with no surface scratches. When subjected to the flashlight test, you can some dust and haze inside the lens -- see the photo below. I didn't see any affect on the images I shot with the camera, although I did not shoot directly into the sun or hard light sources. This is a very tiny thing, but I noticed that the lens seems to hit infinity focus according to my eye juuust before the lens barrel hits the final infinity mark. I trusted my eye focus and didn't see any issues with any images I shot with the camera.

Foam light seals and mirror bumper have been recently replaced and I haven't seen any light leaks. I haven't tested the camera with a flash.

The camera is film tested! The black and white film photo below (shot on Kodak Tri-X 400) was taken with this camera.

Only other issue is that at one point, the film door would sometimes pop open, but I tweaked the latch a bit and it hasn't happened since.
