Chinon CM-4 35mm film camera with JC Penny Multi-Coated Optics 28mm f2.8 lens
Sold Out
The Chinon CM-4 was a solid vintage 35mm camera with manual exposure and manual focus that pretty much did everything a Pentax K1000 did at a fraction of the price.
This particular camera has not been film tested, but all the mechanics seem to operate properly and the light meter works. The light seals have not been replaced and there's old foam residue along the edge of the film door that needs to be cleaned up.
An interesting quirk of this camera is that the light meter display isn't inside the pentaprism; instead, there are three little lights on the outside of the viewfinder that indicate light exposure. It's a little strange for a few seconds when you're used to seeing those dots INSIDE the viewfinder, but it works fine.
The lens is a 28mm prime from JC Penny. It's a Pentax K mount lens - and any Pentax K mount lens should work with this camera. The lens has some visible dust and haze but no fungus. I'm pretty sure I shot a test roll with this lens a few years back and the images were fine, but I can't guarantee that. The focus and aperture seem to work fine and the lens body is in great shape.
I haven't tested the camera with a flash.
Batteries not included.
